DetectProven exists because metal detectors are sold on claims and bought on hope. A box promises “deep-seeking” without saying at what frequency or over what ground. A “waterproof” machine turns out to have a submersible coil and a control box that must stay dry. A “gold” detector runs at a frequency its own manual says is better suited to coins. We started this site to read the manuals and specification sheets the manufacturers publish, reconcile the numbers, and say which ones actually limit where and what you can hunt.

How we work

Every guide carries the DetectProven byline and names the editor who reviewed it, with a short bio. We publish no anonymous content.
